Justice prevails: $2.825 million jury verdict

On December 12, 2011 a Franklin County jury returned a $2.8 million verdict for Garrett McLaren and his parents for injuries Garrett suffered as a result of an assault at a campus bar in August 2006. Bouncers at Miani’s Bar callously allowed angry drunk patrons to attack Garrett, leading to severe head injuries and hearing loss. The jury provided compensation for future wage loss, past and future pain and suffering, and loss of consortium, and imposed punitive damages as well. Attorney fees were also awarded, which will make the total judgment in excess of $3.5 million. We are honored to have represented the McLaren family in this lengthy legal battle and applaud the courage that it took for them to pursue this case to verdict.
