Charles H. Cooper, Jr.

Every day I have an opportunity to protect people and help them change their circumstances through the civil justice system.  People come to us to learn how or why a life-altering event happened and how they can keep it from happening to someone else, and they seek our help in restoring what they’ve lost financially.  It’s immensely humbling and gratifying to help them.

Chip Cooper co-founded Cooper & Elliott in 1995. He has spent more than 30 years trying cases in courtrooms throughout the country, obtaining numerous seven-figure jury verdicts.  In addition to trying cases, Chip has successfully argued many times before the Ohio Supreme Court, the federal Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and state appellate courts. He lectures to trial lawyer organizations on various civil litigation topics, and periodically he serves as a guest lecturer at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.  Chip has worked hard to achieve and maintain a reputation as an aggressive, ethical lawyer who represents people and small businesses against great odds.
